Round 1
Finding round -  The slides will be displayed for few seconds. They have to find what it is and have to note it down. Participants who found correctly and got high scores will be selected for the Round 2.

Round 2
Guess what it is? – Five clues will be given to the participants. Every clue will be displayed at a particular time interval. Participants who found it correctly at short time will be announced as winners of the event.

Sketch Up

As Invente5.0 is occurring virtually this year , the  department of biomedical engineering is coming up with an interesting competition which improves your designing and creativity skills. The winners will be evaluated by three rounds starting from easy to difficult level .You will need to use the 3d designing software fusion 360 for the event.

Round 1
The first round is the basic level in which the students are allowed to design anything with any four tools bringing out the simplicity
and creativity in them. (Duration-45 mins)

Round 2
The intermediate round in which the students will be given five set of tools to design any product. (Duration-45 mins)

Round 3
The shortlisted students will be moving to the  final round where they have to design a biomedical instrument within a limited time. (Duration- 1 hr)


Note:
- All the students should have an Autodesk fusion360 software in their laptops/pc.
- After Registration, Installation procedure and basics on the software videos will be given . For those who are new to this software can see the video and practice it in prior.

Dead Man's Chest

You are on a pirate heist with your crew on the Black Pearl in search of the Dead man's chest. But you are not the only ones. Only the crews that survive a series of tasks and have the most victories get to ask for Calypso's help to find the Dead Man's Chest, the heart of Davy Jones.
The crew that convinces her to help them will win eternal life, treasures and the power of The Flying Dutchman.

Prelims:
The crews will fight against each other to get Calypso on their side. They will be selected based on a series of technical games.

Finals:
The teams that survive the prelims tasks get to meet Calypso and convince her to help them find the Dead Mans's Chest. The crew that is most creative and convincing wins, not just the game, but eternal life, treasures and the power of The Flying Dutchman as well.

e-Biomart

This online event tries to bring out the fun entrepreneur in the participants, while also allowing them to understand the avenue of hospitals. Contestants can engage in a battle of wits, try to come up with innovative solutions to problems posed to them, while at the same time ensuring their hospital runs smooth! The event is broken down into two rounds, with victors from the first round moving on to the second, from which the overall event winners and 2 runners are chosen.

Round 1
After being introduced to the functioning of hospitals and the problems they face on a daily basis, the teams are presented with select problem statements, in two broad categories: administration and functional. Teams have to choose one from each category and provide efficient solutions for both, thus proving their mettle as a well-rounded team. After due deliberation, the best teams are advanced to the second round.

Round 2
Things get interesting. Sharp minds are further tested. The teams are made to participate in an auction for medical equipment, with each team receiving a certain number of virtual bucks and a blueprint of mandatory equipment to be present in their hospital. Different manufacturers for different equipment are presented for auction, with each having their own pros and cons. Post auction, the teams are posed with other issues, which they can resolve by communicating with different teams, setting aside their differences, thus bringing out the negotiator in them. The teams are in the end judged based on certain rubrics, which will be explained during the event.

Paper Presentation (2020)

Event Description:
The participant has to submit an abstract on one the domains given below:
- Healthcare technology
- Nano electronics
- Bio signal processing
- Artificial organs
- Physiological modelling
- Digital image processing
- Artificial neural networks
- VLSI signal processing
- Real time embedded systems
- Robotics
Based on the abstract, selected participants will be called for the second round where they will be asked to give a presentation. The winner will be decided based on the presentation.



Round 1
- Abstract has to be submitted (word document) in not more than 300 words before the due date.
- Based on peer review of the abstracts, contestants will be shortlisted for the next round. Students with maximum scores will be shortlisted.

Round 2
If chosen, the soft copy of the paper with the abstract (not more than 10 pages including reference, tables and graphs) has to be submitted on the day of the event in a word document.
- The paper should be in IEEE format and written in Times New Roman font. 
- The ‘Microsoft PowerPoint’ presentation should be mailed to the organizing team and can last for a maximum of 7 minutes.
- There will be a 3 minutes Q&A session following it.
- Winners will be announced based on the scores of Round2.
