RULES: 
- Abstracts are mandatory.
- Pre-recorded power point presentation (voice over included) not exceeding 10 minutes is mandatory.
- Audio should be muted and video to be kept on for the entire session.
- All the participants must join 10 minutes before the stipulated time.
- Video and audio must be kept on during the presentation and question and answer time (mandatory).
- All the abstracts and pre-recorded PPTs must be sent to the given mail id: invente.synergy.op@gmail.com. Last date for submitting the entries is Jan 15, 6 pm (For extension, contact us)
- 10 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for the question and answer time. Hence 15 minutes allotted per team.
- All registered participants must be present throughout the session.
- Link for zoom meeting will be sent prior to the event to the respective mail ids. 
- Every participant is required to ensure stable internet connectivity for the entire session. If any issues must login using the same link again.
- Participants must login with the following format

Riddler's Picture Show

The Chemi evil prankster is back again, this time with pictures! Summon your inner Batman to solve the Riddler's riddles and go on to decipher an explosive word at the end!!

Participation: Team of 2-3, Chemical department
Platform: Zoom
No. of Rounds: 2
Date/Time: Jan 22nd, 11am to 12pm


Round 1
- Participants will receive the zoom link well in advance before the round starts to their respective Mail ID.
- Participants should join the zoom platform with the video ON and audio OFF.
- The Participants will be separated into teams and each team will be sent into separate breakout rooms.
- There will be 3 volunteers who will be there to see if anyone is engaged in any kind of foul play.
- For this round, a Google Form will be shared in the zoom chat section. It consists of 10 questions, which needs to be answered in 15 minutes.
- The Team should find out the common word connecting the two pictures given and give the correct chemical engineering technical word.
- Participants need to submit the Google form within 15 minutes after which it won’t accept responses.
- There should be only one submission per team (i.e.) only one Google form must be submitted per team.
- Each correct answer fetches you 10 points and no negative marking. There will also be special starred questions within the 10 questions which will be considered if there is a tie. 
- HAPPY CONNECTING 
- The top 'n' teams (depending upon how many teams register) with the highest score will be shortlisted for the final round.
- Zoom link for the shortlisted teams will be shared to their registered Mail ID.

Round 2
Shortlisted teams must join the zoom with the video ON and audio OFF.
- Volunteers will be present to see if they are indulging in any kind of malpractices.
- Each Team will be given with separate breakout rooms.
- Through screen sharing, the questions will be shared by event coordinators.
- Each question will consist of five clues with which the participants must try to find the apt chemical engineering word.
- Participants can send their answers through private message on zoom chat.
- The team which answers the first only will be given points.
- There will be a total of 5 questions with 5 clues for each question.
- Each clue will be displayed for a duration of 15 seconds.
- The Team which finds the word in 1st clue will be given 50 points, if found in 2nd clue will be given 40 points, in 3rd clue with 30 points and so on.
- There will be negative marking of -10 points where if the team attempts to answer the question but fails to do so in the 1st clue.
- If the same team answers that question in the 4th, 3rd or lower clues (the points would be for ex: 30-10=20 points)
- Winner will be selected based on which team has the highest of points at the end of five questions.
- If there is a tie there will be a tie breaker question.

- Each question carries one mark and no negative marking.
- Some starred questions will be there, which will be considered if there is a tie.

- Participants need to submit their Google form within 10 minutes. Forms submitted after that will not be accepted.
- There should be only one submission per team (i.e., only one Google form must be submitted per team.)
- Each question carries one mark and no negative marking.
- Winner will be selected based on the marks.
- In case of tie, winner will be selected based on which team submitted the response first.

Round 1
- The meeting link will be sent to the participants in advance to their registered mail IDs.
- Participants are required to join the meeting with their video and audio OFF.
- The hosts and co-hosts will ask the participants to unmute whenever necessary.
- The prelims require the participants to express their insights on the topic assigned to them, with individual speaker time not exceeding 5 minutes.
- The topics are: 
1. Waste management
2. Production process modification
3. EVOP methodology 
4. Biomass conversion techniques
5. Carbon sequestration 
- The finalists will be selected at the discretion of the jury panel, with important criteria being knowledge, flow and accuracy of the data used.
- Participants are requested to stay civil.
- Irrespective of the number of participants, SIX participants will be selected for the final round.

Round 2
- Participants will be informed of the topic and their affiliation before the final round commences.
- The final round will have two segments.
- The first segment will be a constructive debate session with individual speaker time not exceeding 3 min.
- The second segment will be an interactive session that requires the participant to answer questions from the jury panel and other participants- individual participant time not exceeding 7 min.
- 3 prizes will be given: 2 based on the performance in the final round and 1 based on overall consistency.
- Participants are requested to be punctual.

Round 1
- All the participants will be provided with the zoom link to their registered email ID, in which the general instructions about the event will be provided.
- The video should be turned on during the entire event and the audio should be turned on when it’s their turn to speak.
- Each member will be assigned with different chemical engineering industrial roles respectively (E.g. Process engineer, design engineer, cost engineer etc.) and an industrial problem to solve. 
- A brief description about the role would be explained before the commencement of the event.
- Each participant would be given 5 minutes to prepare, to provide valid solutions according to their assigned roles, to the given industrial problem.

(Duration: 5-10min)


Judging Criteria
- Spontaneity in providing insights related to the role assigned.
- Significant core knowledge. 
- Valid arguments to address the given problem.
- To be able to provide suitable response to the questions posed by the panel.
- Creativity and out of the box thinking will be suitably noted.
